Ítem Con-temporaneidad del arte en diálogo con la obra de María Elvira Escallón.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-07-01) Pineda Repizo, Adryan FabrizioThis paper presents a reflection on the notions of the contemporary and the crisis in today’s art, through a dialogue between three works by the artist María Elvira Escallón and some paradigmatic theoretical references on the notion of the contemporary and the crisis in contemporary art. On the one hand, Desde adentro is a work that problematizes the idea of time both of the work and of the experience to which it leads us. On the other hand, In memoriam and El reino de este mundo allow us to look at the crisis of and from contemporary art. Through these works it is evident that the break appears as an exploration and a category capable of expressing the particular feeling of Escallón’s work and, hence, of the con-temporality of art as a response to the crisis that concerns him.Ítem Fiat ars, pereat mundus: arte y guerra en relación con el conflicto armado colombiano.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-07-01) Rey Sánchez, CamiloThis article is part of an ongoing investigation that starts from an aesthetic study of the consensus and dissent around the Colombian armed conflict. It seeks to address the aspects that may have aesthetic characteristics and, in this way, delve into the phenomenon of conflict from its sensitive part. Although, in a broad sense, the Colombian armed conflict (1958-2022) is a framework of historical facts and controversial discussions that try to characterize or define the phenomenon of war through its causes and effects, it can also be understood as a sensitive system of perception around which expressions of violence are accepted, and in which both actors who represent the conflict and issues that reduce it to just, honorable or beautiful causes appear, and which defends a social principle and consolidates a consensus. From this perspective, this article aims to address a representation of consensus based on certain expressions within the framework of war, through specific examples. In addition, it seeks to recognize dissent, as a force that allows finding the possibility of generating new reflections on what has already happened, ways of naming what cannot be named, and giving visibility to actors who were previously only passive extras in the war in Colombia.Ítem Paisaje sonoro en Guayaquil. Investigación y práctica artística desde tres casos de estudio de la Universidad de las Artes, Ecuador.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-07-01) Pérez Valero, LuisIt’s notorious number of universities that have opened a career in music production has grown in recent years. However, the teaching of this profession has not been limited to the use of recording technology for artists of song or sound design; gradually, the creators who live in Guayaquil (Ecuador) have explored a particular line: the soundscape as raw material or axis of an artistic work since the founding of the University of the Arts in the city. Since then, the concept of interdisciplinarity has made sense in music producers who transgress the tradition of the discipline and propose sound creation alternatives based on installations, video art, performance or conceptual works, artistic practice is carried out from multiple artistic languages in which it is linked the audio. The present work explores these trends through three exponents who, coming from a transdisciplinary artistic education, have worked with the soundscape of the city; their proposals come together in various techniques, such as sonic representation exercises, conventional recordings, real-time processing, programming, and facilities.Ítem Hacia una poética de la monstruosidad. Hija de Perra: arte, resistencia y transformación.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-07-01) Opazo Marinkovic, María JoséThis article proposes a reflection of the monstrous in the character Hija de Perra, alter ego of the Chilian artist Víctor Hugo Wally Pérez Peñaloza, as an aesthetic strategy of subversion of the marginalized and dissidents facing repression, exclusion, and structural violence of Chilean society towards sexual minorities, indigenous people and women, and at the same time, as a poetic resource for the affirmation of hybridity and difference. Based on the studies of Kolnai, Kristeva and Moraña, the characteristic elements of the poetics of the monstrosity of Hija de Perra are analyzed, which allows us to think of the other and the nonworld as a possibility for the liberation of bodies and the transformation of the social order and norm(ality) of the world.Ítem La investigación+creación+ educación+ (ICE+) como práctica de generación de conocimiento.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-07-01) Gamboa Medina, AlejandroOften, research, artistic creation and education are considered as separate spheres that must be analytically discriminated, since each one has its own gnoseological challenges and their relationships occur in tense and occasional encounters. In a way that contradicts this opinion, this article argues that research, the arts and education share an intrinsic relationship, as far as they are social practices that seek to make sense of the world and imagine possible ways of inhabiting it. Thus, research+creation+education+ (rce+) is proposed as a liminal space in which forms of knowing, feeling, knowing and intervening converge, exchange and mutually define each other. This gnoseological bet is already being implemented in various institutions in the country.Ítem Creando espacios : nociones de educación artística para la justicia social en profesores de artes visuales y música en Chile.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-07-01) López Barraza, AndreaThis qualitative study explored notions of Arts for Social Justice in Visual Arts and Music teachers in 5 schools from different socioeconomic contexts in Chile, identifying discourses and practices that showed an understanding of art as a right and a tool for the critique and transformation of society, as well as alternative notions of art and art education (expressionist, cognitive/logocentric, pragmatist, cultural, etc.). Semi-structured interviews were conducted and NVivo 12 software was used to analyze the data, which was coded for themes around the notions of art that appear in the teachers, using tools from Critical Discourse Analysis, that sees discourse as a site of struggle and manifestation of ideology. Different notions of art appeared in teachers, that impacted their pedagogical practice. There were some facets of art as a tool for social justice, as well as the recognition of contemporary forms of art. Obstacles to the implementation of arts education in schools were identified, such as limited space and resources for arts in a context of accountability and standardized tests; socioeconomic vulnerability that made art a distant language for the students; and fear of presenting controversial issues in a conservative institutional context. In Chile, this constitutes a timely exploration, since the announced national plan to strengthen arts education in 2015 did not take place, with a reduction in the number of hours for arts education. The role that teachers’ notions about art can have in a context that tends to push the arts out is, therefore, crucial.Ítem Del ensimismamiento al trabajo con otras: el espacio que se teje cuando nos juntamos a tejer, bordar y coser.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Cuéllar Barona, Margarita; Caicedo Giraldo, DanielaEl Costurero is a space for textile creation in Cali, Colombia, which since 2018 has been convening weekly to weave, embroider and sew collectively. This article proposes to reconstruct its history and reflect on its work experience, after several years of meetings, to review its dynamics and the links that have emerged there. On the one hand, we are interested in proposing a methodological approach to this space given its work dynamics mediated by textile creation, approaching the stories of those who have been part of it and the relevance of their experience. On the other hand, we propose to explore the relationship between textile practices and their place in the private world of women, to open the way to an approach to the category of self-absorption, as an experience of individual textile work and a way of transitioning to the experience of collective work. Finally, the article proposes a reflection on research in contexts of collective creation, the work among women, and its historical connection with textile making, based on what is woven when we get together to weave, embroider and sew.Ítem Miradas desde el Archipiélago de Bosques y Selvas de Xalapa a través de la fotografía participativa.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Aguilar Cucurachi, María del Socorro; Maganda Ramírez, María del Carmen; Fontalvo Buelvas, Juan CamiloWe explored the perceptions about the cloud forest, through participatory photography (photovoice). In this process, we highlighted the perceived ecosystem services: cultural, provision (provisioning), support, and regulation, as registered in images and in the collective voice. We discussed two of the main advantages of using photography. First, it can be used to evoke reflections, considering images as the center. Second, participants can record photos quickly and easily using mobile phones. In this way, we explored the emerging possibilities of mobile media in the domain of art, and its potential to make various environmental aspects visible. Methods included a participatory photography workshop, which involved 16 participants, and 120 registered photographs. We collectively selected 30 images, and discussed about the contrasts, and assigned meanings. The participants provided written consent to record and systematize their speeches. We used thematic analysis from an interpretive approach, and we codified the contents based on ecosystem services. In the results, we highlight four relevant aspects: 1) The affinity with cultural ecosystem services, 2) The valuation of se based on social heterogeneity, 3) The sense of belonging and identity with the inhabited territory, and 4) the synergy between photographic creation and citizen socio-environmental education. We show trends, categories, and contrasts among the photographs, highlighting the meanings in relevant direct quotations. Outstandingly, the participants discussed about the problems associated with the cloud forest, and proposed solutions to improve human relations with the natural environment.Ítem El Proyecto Ukelele: un estudio de caso sobre la implementación del ukelele en una escuela primaria.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) López García, Narciso JoséThe instrumental practice is one of the basic pillars of musical education in elementary school. In this sense, the Orff instruments and the recorder have become essential elements for the development of skills related to musical performance. However, the deterioration of some and the limitations of the other, have opened the doors to other instruments with whom it is possible to work musical content from a more complete and globalized perspective. The article that is presented below, is a single case study where the interview is the main tool of data collection to publicize the ceip Don Quijote Ukulele Project Ukelele (Ciudad Real-Spain), as an example of good practices implementing other musical instruments in the teaching-learning processes of music. At the same time, different strategies are defined to help teachers interested in starting similar processes in their schools.Ítem Hacia una hermenéutica de los procesos de creación en artes plásticas.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Espinoza Cáceres, Jorge AndrésThis article arises from the general approach to the following problem: are there some fundamental features in the plastic creation processes? Due to the breadth of this question, this paper is specifically limited to answering this question from a hermeneutical approach on the processes of creation in the training practices in plastic arts carried out at the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts, Cali, Colombia. To do this, we will first explain some fundamental concepts of the hermeneutical position H.G. Gadamer, to test an interpretation of the processes of plastic creation from this point of view and the possible sense open to the interior of these creation processes.Ítem Correspondencia visual: una estrategia docente para compartir identidades urbanas y crear ciudad.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Genet Verney, Rafaèle; Guerrero Chinome, EdwardIn education, correspondence activities are often used for language learning as they facilitate the exchange of content and the teaching of linguistic expression. If we consider the image as a language, we can use this teaching strategy in art education, not only to create communication-based on the visual but also, to learn to manage transmission tools and knowledge of the other beyond words. This article presents the results of Arts-Based Educational Research, where visual correspondence is at the center of the teaching process to facilitate the understanding and interpretation of the city. An educational experience was carried out with students from the University of Granada and the National Pedagogical University of Bogotá based on photographic records. In it, the urban identities of the two cities were highlighted and compared, using photography as an instrument of visual communication and as a tool for artistic/creative research. The results of the research show, through image associations, the contrasts, and similarities found between cities generate a reflection on the socio-cultural identity of everyday places (street, square, market), and enunciate, thanks to visual creation, a definition of the urban from the sensitive gaze of the individual.Ítem La música parrandera: interconexiones culturales en los Andes antioqueños. El caso de la vertiente caribeña.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Tobón Restrepo, Alejandro; Marín Ramírez, María Cristina; López Gil, Gustavo AdolfoThis article analyzes the convergence of musical practices and trends (styles) in the emergence stage of the so-called parrandera music in Antioquia; in particular, the implicit micro and macro relations of Andean and Caribbean music, from their structural sound characteristics. In this sense, the discussion addresses the musical impact of the Latin American and Colombian Caribbean on the music of the interior of the country, within the media context produced by the emergence and consolidation of radio and the recording industry in these areas. This work contributes to the clarification of the assumptions, hypotheses and dynamics surrounding the origins of this genre and contributes to the recognition of the sound and aesthetic resources that characterize it. In other words, it answers, in ethnomusicological terms, two recurrent questions that, in the opinion of the authors, have been little developed in existing studies: what are the structural sound characteristics of parrandera music and what are its antecedents? This analysis is the result of the research project entitled “Música parrandera, caracterización, impacto y dimensión actual de esta práctica coreo-musical en Antioquia”.Ítem Aproximación a las relaciones entre la investigación artística y el concepto de identidad(es).(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Palacios Obregón, CamiloBased on the critical analysis of some of the precepts of “The Research-Creation Decalogue”, a pedagogical tool proposed by the author in 2017, this reflection article develops an analytical methodology that seeks to put in tension some Eurocentric and modern proposals on education and artistic research, with others conceived from a decolonial approach to art studies. To this end, the author studies the concept of identity(ies), assuming himself as a research subject and object in which various identification processes linked to the understanding of research-creation are evidenced. At the same time, he analyzes the implications and risks of essentializations in identity studies of individuals and communities. It is concluded that in the pedagogical and epistemological areas of the artistic community, it is necessary to promote critical thinking linked to the understanding of the relational complexities of each of the identities of the people associated to academic processes.Ítem El montaje: entre la realidad y la ficción. La investigación-creación y la memoria en algunas obras del arte colombiano.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) García Martínez, Omar AlonsoThis research paper establishes a discussion between the concepts of reality and fiction as fundamental topics in the research-creation processes present in artistic products that use memory for their formulation. It focuses on the analysis of concepts from the field of history, such as truth or reality and fiction as invention, and seeks to understand how they act in the aesthetic and political fields in artistic processes. The paper dialogues with the thought of the philosopher and art historian Georges Didi-Huberman through the concept of montage and the possibilities that arise in the historical construction in which collective or personal fragments take place. The result leads us to the appropriation of methodological elements for the symbolic construction of the past, which in the Colombian context is considered important for its own tragic narrative, which is faced from the metaphorical capacity of art.Ítem Guillermo Uribe Holguín: sonatas para violín y piano. Aproximación musicológica.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Trujillo Escobar, Ana María; Orduz Espinal, Ana María; López Gil, Gustavo AdolfoThis paper discusses the relevance and contribution of the creative work of composer Guillermo Uribe Holguín (1880-1971) and is dedicated to the current generation of musicians and the artistic environment par excellence. The analysis focuses on the musicological study of his sonatas for violin and piano, but weaves in contextual elements of the historical moment in which he lived, as well as some theoretical perspectives that emerge when facing this type of initiative, since it is a reflective work brought about by the creative research project, Cycle of Sonatas for Violin and Piano by Guillermo Uribe Holguín: A Stylistic Discussion and an Interpretative Proposal.Ítem Literatura científica y creación en artes visuales: reflexiones desde “El otro mar” (Colombia).(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Rodríguez Valencia, Gabriela; Bolaños Izquierdo, Edgar Fabián; Sevilla, ManuelThis article is a product derived from the project “The other sea: Development of a narrative proposal from the performing arts for the communication and appropriation of heritage knowledge about the sea in two points of Colombia”, presented within the framework of the Investigarte 2.0 call, of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Minciencias), in 2020. The investigation contained here aims to contribute to the process of social appropriation of knowledge, proposed by Minciencias, based on the referencing of specialized non-artistic documentation sources that offer resources or inputs that serve to create a work in the field of art. visual arts. The methodological commitment on which the development of the general project is based is the notion of research-creation, leveraged on the concept of research for the arts proposed by Hank Borgdorff, and which is practice-oriented, supported by documentary analysis as a tool major. The results include the revision of a corpus of 128 non-artistic documentary sources, compiled during the execution of the general project. Finally, the conclusions state that it is possible to make a social appropriation of knowledge and contribute to its dissemination from areas in which the document was not originally designed, in this case, from the appropriation for the arts of non-artistic knowledge. This attempt allowed the construction of a theater, music and dance performance that projects a possible installation-type creation, based on the knowledge of the sea.Ítem Mediación tecnológica en pedagogía teatral en el contexto de la covid-19: una revisión sistemática.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Pacheco Pomarino, Mariluz AideThe aim of this systematic review article was to study the current state of research on technological mediation in artistic education and theater pedagogy in the context of covid-19. The method used was the documentary research whose collection of information was obtained from scientific articles extracted from the Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, Scielo, Science Direct, Redalyc, Springer, ERIC and Google Scholar databases, during the years 2019 to 2022, starting from the descriptors of Technological mediation; Artistic education; Theater pedagogy and covid-19. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were established that allowed the document filtering process, obtaining a total of 28 articles published in indexed journals. The articles were incorporated into an Excel database in order to manage the content analysis and prevailing trends. Therefore, two thematic categories are presented: Technological mediation in artistic education in the context of the pandemic and Technological mediation in theatrical pedagogy in the context of the pandemic. The results show the tendency in research to resignify the practice of artistic and theatrical pedagogy in virtuality in order to transcend from convivio to tecnovivio, emphasizing in the collaborative work, proposing hybrid technologies and considering technology as a tool, not as a educational purpose.Ítem Investigación artística y aprendizaje transdisciplinario : taller virtual entre la geometría y el arte.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Rioseco Castillo, Macarena; Berna Sepúlveda, Isabel SilvanaThis reflective article presents the state of progress of a transdisciplinary research study that originated in response to the growing virtualization of education, as a product of the covid-19 health crisis. The objective is to develop e-learning workshops using the Canvas lms platform that recognize and include the body as a main cognitive agent, and thus enhance the use of Virtual Learning Environments by students in the school stages. For this purpose, it is proposed to work with artistic research methodologies as a pedagogical strategy to design virtual, material and embodied educational activities. This responds to the hypothesis that the specific approach of these methodologies can turn them into a vehicle that facilitate into a vehicle that can facilitate learning processes and help to strengthen teaching. According to what has been discussed in the reviewed bibliography, eight general actions are identified as constant in artistic research projects, and based on these, it is a first approach to a transdisciplinary e-learning workshop: Between Geometry and Art, for school students (14-15 years old). It is expected that, as a product of the piloting of this workshop, during the year 2023, the learning achieved in the participants will be the development of an artistic-geometric thinking, where both disciplines would be truly intertwined.Ítem Entre la investigación narrativa, la investigación artística y la investigación de las imágenes.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Ramos Delgado, DavidThe reflections that I develop in this article are based on my research and teaching experience, especially as director of undergraduate degree projects in the Bachelor of Visual Arts (Faculty of Fine Arts, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional of Colombia). To do this, I search through the selection and analysis of the degree projects of students that I have advised since 2016. Through the review of these cases, which exemplify my observations and findings around the possibilities and contributions to the relationship of research and creation, I start with the tensions and the dialogues between the acts of narrating-creating-analyzing images, where the narrative serves as the articulating axis. In this way, at first, I focus on degree projects that start from artistic creation exercises that lead to narrative investigations. The second part is the analysis of a group of projects that are based on the use of narrative methodologies, articulated with artistic creation, and in the third section, I place the projects linked to methodologies developed from the narrative possibilities (visual and oral) of images. These three reflective places correspond to methodological encounters between Narrative Research, Artistic Research, and Image Research, which converge in what I state as an intern and transdisciplinary opening towards Narrative-Artistic-Visual Research, as a contribution to the fields of visual arts and visual arts education.Ítem La carrera de Artes Escénicas ante la estandarización de la educación superior.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, 2023-01-01) Campillay Llanos, Marisol; Retuerto Mendaña, IriaThis article presents the research results whose objective is to recognize how the performing arts careers of Chilean universities dialogue with the discourses of institutional self-assessment and the accreditation processes. For this purpose, a qualitative study of discourse analysis was carried out in which 22 people participated in interviews and group discussions, including directors, teachers, and students of performing arts careers. Based on the foregoing, three tensions were identified in the discourse of the university communities: university teaching of the arts versus traditions of a conservatory or apprenticeship, teacher training, and student experience, and the need for standardization versus the variability of methodologies in performing Arts. It concludes with the urgency of generating specific actions so that the processes of institutional self-assessment and accreditations can promote training projects in the performing arts in its different dimensions, academic career, research, and professional progression.
