Body image is a multidimensional construct its development is consolidated during the school-age years, a period in which body dissatisfaction reaches high prevalence rates. Although educational materials aimed at promoting positive body image in children are available, they have been developed primarily within the health sciences and often lack explicit pedagogical and didactic foundations. This documentary study analyzed three educational materials using a system of pedagogical and didactic categories validated through expert judgment. The findings revealed a predominance of didactic components and largely implicit pedagogical foundations. Based on the analysis, four guidelines were proposed for the design of future materials: making the pedagogical dimension explicit, adapting didactic transposition to the child's developmental stage, connecting content with students' prior knowledge, and incorporating metacognition and formative assessment.eng
