| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación analiza la colonialidad del poder que se manifiesta en los exámenes estandarizados y certificaciones internacionales de competencias comunicativas en lenguas extranjeras, a partir de las voces de docentes colombianos en ejercicio y los resultados de un cuestionario administrados a egresados de diferentes universidades colombianas. Basándose en un enfoque cualitativo interpretativo con entrevistas semiestructuradas y análisis temático de las respuestas del cuestionario, el estudio revela cómo la adopción del MCER y de sus exámenes y sus certificaciones asociadas generan tensiones pedagógicas, identitarias e institucionales en el contexto colombiano. Los participantes señalan que estos dispositivos actúan como mecanismos de control y estandarización que limitan la autonomía docente, refuerzan la dependencia hacia organismos internacionales y producen experiencias de ansiedad, presión y desvalorización profesional. No obstante, emergen también formas de resistencia y propuestas alternativas que incluyen la evaluación formativa, el diseño contextualizado y la incorporación de prácticas plurilingües. Los hallazgos alarman sobre la urgencia de construir modelos de evaluación lingüística propios, más equitativos, pertinentes y anclados en la realidad sociocultural de Colombia. | dc.description.abstractenglish | This study explores the coloniality of power through standardized tests and international certifications of communicative competence in foreign languages, based on the experiences of Colombian in-service teachers and the results of a questionnaire administered to graduates from different Colombian universities. Using an interpretive qualitative methodology structured on semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis of the responses to the questionnaire, the research identifies the pedagogical, emotional, and institutional tensions produced by the implementation of the CEFR, its associated examinations and its certifications in Colombia. Participants perceive these assessment systems as mechanisms of normalization and control that shape teaching practices, reinforce institutional dependency, and contribute to feelings of anxiety, pressure, and professional devaluation. Also at the same time, teachers articulate forms of resistance and propose alternatives grounded in formative assessment, local contextualization, and the recognition of multilingual practices. The study highlights the need to reimagine and recreate language assessment policies, through decolonial context-sensitive perspectives that support fairer and more meaningful models for the Colombian educational context.
