Resumen
The national tests Saber 11 and the international tests PISA have revealed a low level of
reading comprehension in Colombia over the past two decades. Building upon this overall
landscape, this research proposes an innovative pedagogical strategy to enhance literary
competence among ninth-grade students at the Instituto Pedagógico Nacional in 2023. Thus, the
proposed methodology adopts a qualitative approach, which enables the connection between
reader development, literary competence, and the conception of the classroom as a collection of
individual universes. This is achieved through the implementation of a didactic sequence based
on the expansion keys of transmedia narrative. Additionally, technological tools are employed to
support the development of the proposed activities and the collection and visualization of student
results.
