This thesis aims to analyze the effects of implementing culturally relevant literature as a pedagogical tool to improve English language skills in 2nd, 4th, and 5th-grade students at a public school in Bogotá, and, by extension, its sociocultural impact. This is approached through Project-Based Learning (PBL). The proposal emerged from an observation process in which two main issues were identified: the students' difficulties in managing English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and the absence of culturally relevant texts for the student population as an alternative pedagogical tool for teaching. The study follows an action research approach, through which a four-cycle learning path proposed by the researcher was implemented. These cycles are: introductory, thematic development, evaluative-reflective, and applicative. This path was aligned with the learning route framed within PBL. Finally, the entire process was supported by data collection instruments such as diagnostic tests and field diaries, as well as student-created artifacts. These were used in the analysis of results, providing evidence of the pedagogical outcomes of the study.spa
