| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo indaga sobre el desarrollo de las habilidades de pensamiento científico para estimular el espíritu investigativo en niños, con edades de tres y cuatro años, de la Escuela Maternal de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. El proyecto busca que el niño logre asociar información nueva con la que ya posee, reajustando y reconstruyendo ambas informaciones; durante este proceso se utilizan la búsqueda de información y los experimentos, para llevar a cabo las tareas vinculadas a la investigación. La primera parte del trabajo describe lo observado en el aula durante un periodo académico. La segunda documenta las actividades realizadas y los resultados obtenidos durante los siguientes tres semestres, por medio de un diario de campo. Asimismo, el trabajo constituye una oportunidad para compartir esta experiencia con todos los maestros de ciencias en formación y en ejercicio, para que avizoren en la educación preescolar un espacio de trabajo y proyección profesional. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This brief story tells an experience of science teaching in the kindergarten of the Universi-dad Pedagógica Nacional (Bogotá, Colombia). It explores the learning processes of preschool kids and the development of their skills by per-forming a series of activities centered on these aims. On the other hand, it showcases an inno-vative project of the Education Department of the university that implies collaborative work among the teacher of science and the child-hood keepers of the Escuela Maternal. The main goal was to involve children in an explor-ing challenge about some science issues, labor described in two moments. The first presents the activities of ethnographic observation of the researcher, a male physics teacher in train-ing, during a school period to know the group of children. The second part describes the class-room activities for a year and a half, and the analysis of kids’ achievements, registered in the researcher’s field diary. Finally, this paper allows us to share this experience with other science teachers in a way that they can perceive in the preschool context a fascinating opportunity and a challenging working space for their professional projection. | eng |
