| dc.description.abstract | En este artículo se realiza una reflexión acerca del papel del contenido en la enseñanza de la geografía escolar. La exigencia de cumplir con un cierto nivel en el mismo en cada uno de los años y niveles escolares; la inexistencia, muchas veces, de integración, coherencia y de utilidad práctica en muchos de ellos y la necesidad actual de cambiar el sentido del contenido para hacer de este una herramienta eficaz para alcanzar en los estudiantes una verdadera educación geográfica ―que les permita superar el “analfabetismo geográfico” que caracteriza a la mayor parte de la población colombiana― son consideraciones fundamentales en el desarrollo del mismo. | spa |

The requirement to comply with a certain level in the same in each of the years and school levels; the inexistence, many times, of integration, coherence and practical utility in many of them and the current need to change the meaning of the content to make this an effective tool to achieve in students a true geographical education -which allows them to overcome the “Geographic illiteracy” that characterizes most of the Colombian population- are fundamental considerations in its development. | eng |
