| spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This research analyzes Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) teaching practices developed in the United States and Canada between 2019 and 2023, with the purpose of identifying pedagogical and didactic contributions for inclusive education. Through a state-of-the-art review examining 32 academic documents, six pedagogical practices were identified: aided language modeling, use of assistive technology, pictographic and symbolic systems, multimodal approach, intervention in natural environments, and emerging practices supporting inclusion. The qualitative analysis, conducted with Atlas.ti, enabled the coding of 2,857 fragments organized into three structural axes: theoretical approach, practical implementation, and mediator training. As a result, seven pedagogical dimensions are proposed for designing inclusive AAC practices that recognize the special educator as a fundamental mediator in guaranteeing the right to communication for people with complex communication needs. | eng |
