| dc.description.abstract | En este artículo se exponen los resultados de una investigación que tuvo por objetivo examinar la manera cómo la élite intelectual santafereña, en la Colombia del siglo XIX, hizo frente al reto de cons-truir nación por medio de la creación del símbolo del bambuco. En este se expone el análisis de la construcción de un símbolo de naturaleza original-mente estético en uno político y el interés de sus creadores, a partir de una educación humanística, por utilizar símbolos para la construcción de identi-dad, en particular con el fin principal de fortalecer la soberanía a través del nacionalismo musical. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This paper presents the results of an investigation that aimed to examine how the intellectual elite of Santa Fé in nineteenth-century Colombia faced the challenge of building a nation through the creation of the symbol of bambuco. An analysis is made of the construction of an originally aesthetic symbol into a political symbol and the interest of its crea-tors, from a humanistic education, to use symbols to build identity, particularly with the main purpose of strengthening sovereignty through musical natio-nalism. | eng |
