dc.description.abstractEste proyecto exploró el uso del cine como herramienta para el aprendizaje del inglés entre los alumnos de décimo curso del Colegio Técnico CEDID Guillermo Cano Isaza mediante un enfoque de investigación-acción. Su objetivo era fomentar el aprecio por el cine como forma de arte intercultural que abarca diversas narrativas inematográficas, incluyendo la historia, la literatura, la música y el arte. Al exponer a los alumnos al inglés auténtico y coloquial de las películas, estos pueden mejorar su comprensión del idioma, especialmente en lo que respecta a expresiones coloquiales que a menudo no se incluyen en la enseñanza tradicional. El cine ofreció una experiencia única e inmersiva que sitúa el idioma en contextos de la vida real, lo que ayuda a la adquisición de vocabulario práctico para el uso cotidiano. Además, brindó a los alumnos la oportunidad de abordar temas de relevancia cultural y académica, enriqueciendo su comprensión del mundo y promoviendo el aprendizaje interdisciplinario. dc.description.abstractenglishThis project explored the use of cinema as a tool for learning English among tenth-grade students at Colegio Técnico CEDID Guillermo Cano Isaza through an action research approach. It aimed to foster an appreciation for film as an intercultural art form that encompasses various cinematic narratives, including history, literature, music and art. By exposing students to authentic, conversational English in films, they can enhance language comprehension, particularly in colloquial expressions that are often absent in traditional instruction. Cinema offered a unique, immersive experience that situates the language in real-life contexts, aiding in the acquisition of practical vocabulary for everyday use. Additionally, it provided students with the opportunity to engage with culturally and academically significant topics, enriching their understanding of the world and promoting interdisciplinary learning. This project positioned cinema not only as a linguistic resource but as a powerful educational tool that connects English language learning with intellectual and cultural exploration.eng
