Infancia. Balance de un campo discursivo.

Abstract

What we call infancy and infants is not something given nor is it waiting for us to be described and deciphered; they are versions of versions, in an ad innitum progression. All of them certainly have a material correspondence in and with the world. That is why such questions will always involve endless and heated debates in processes that seek to establish that or that concept as the best, the most correct, or the most up-to-date. Likewise, such questions end up establishing a very broad and specific discursive field about childhood and infants, which is described in this book. The notion of discursive field is used as a methodological tool that allows grouping, under the same lens, different discourses regarding childhood; as well as, to recognize the plurality and historicity of what is thought and said about it as an object of knowledge and power.

Lo que llamamos la infancia y los infantes no es algo dado ni nos está esperando para ser descrito y descifrado; sino que son versiones de versiones, en una progresión ad innitum. Todas ellas tienen, ciertamente, una correspondencia material en y con el mundo. Es poreso que tales cuestiones siempre implicarán interminables y acaloradosdebates en procesos que buscan establecer ese o aquel conceptocomo el mejor, el más correcto o el más actualizado. Asimismo, tales cuestiones acaban estableciendo un campo discursivo muy amplio y específico sobre la infancia y los infantes, lo cual se describe en este libro. La noción de campo discursivo es usada como una herramienta metodológica que permite agrupar, bajo un mismo lente, diferentesdiscursos a propósito de la infancia; así como, reconocer la pluralidady la historicidad de lo que es pensado y dicho acerca de ella en tanto objeto de saber y poder.
