| dc.description.abstract | En este artículo de investigación indagamos en el pensamiento político de Orlando Millas. Millas plantea una revisión del periodo de la Unidad Popular en Chile (1970-1973) proponiendo que el gobierno de Salvador Allende amplió las bases de lademocracia, fijó una ruta no violenta de ejercicio del poder y desarrolló un programa socialista único en el mundo. De este modo, sostenemos que las memorias constituyen un texto político a través del cual el memorialista reconstruye el mundo pasado, actualizándolo y trazando nuevos horizontes para entender el acontecer. | spa |

Millas raises a review of the period of Unidad Popular in Chile (1970-1973) proposing that the government of Salvador Allende broadened the foundations of democracy, fixed a non-violent route of exercise of power and developed a unique socialist program in the world. Thus, the memoirs constitute a political text through which the memorialist reconstructs the past world, updating and plotting newhorizons to understand the events. | eng |
