Ethics, as a branch of practical philosophy, is the knowledge that arises from the relationship we establish with the world we inhabit, which is why it contains the keys to understand and guide human behavior in society. Professor David Camilo Moreno Foglia, through a rereading of the ancient Aristotelian tradition and a reflection on contemporary production, raises the need to investigate the specificities of ethics and its role in the construction of an ethos mediated by actions, narratives and the relationship with the passions that arise therefrom. For this reason, this text aims to investigate how ethics, rhetoric and poetics operate and relate to each other in the Aristotelian system, within the framework of the conceptual relationship between logos, ethos and pathos, in order to postulate and bring to the present a complex notion of rationality proper to ethical knowledge. In other words, this book seeks to share with its readers the social and practical function of philosophy in times of moral upheaval.

La ética, como rama de la filosofía práctica, es el saber que se desprende de la relación que establecemos con el mundo que habitamos, razón por la cual contiene las claves para comprender y guiar el comportamiento del humano en sociedad. El profesor David Camilo Moreno Foglia, a través de una relectura de la tradición antigua aristotélica y una reflexión sobre la producción contemporánea, plantea la necesidad de indagar en las especificidades de la ética y su papel en la construcción de un ethos mediado por las acciones, las narraciones y la relación con las pasiones que de allí nacen. Por tal razón, este texto tiene como objetivo indagar cómo operan y se relacionan en el sistema aristotélico la ética, la retórica y la poética, en el marco de la relación conceptual entre logos, ethos y pathos, para de esta forma postular y traer al presente una noción compleja de la racionalidad propia del saber ético. En otras palabras, este libro busca compartir con sus lectores la función social y práctica de la filosofía, en unos tiempos convulsos moralmente hablando.
