| spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The purpose of this study is to address the increasing prevalence of unhealthy lifestyle habits in early childhood, such as physical inactivity, poor nutrition, and insufficient rest among preschool-aged children. The central issue lies in the high incidence of overweight and obesity within this age group, which underscores the need for early intervention. The general objective is to promote healthy habits and lifestyles through the use of the Wordwall platform in preschool education. Methodologically, a qualitative approach was adopted within a socio-critical paradigm, employing an action research design with a descriptive scope and type. Diagnostic questionnaires were administered to children under parental supervision to assess initial habits, followed by the implementation of activities through Open Virtual Learning Objects (OVA) using the Wordwall platform, focusing on healthy eating, physical activity, and sleep hygiene. The intervention was carried out over a 12-week period. The results regarding the perception of the platform experience were reflected in questionnaires completed by both parents and children (the latter through graphical responses). The data analysis revealed significant improvements after the intervention: children increased their daily physical activity levels, adopted healthier sleep patterns, and showed greater interest in nutritious foods compared to the initial assessment. Moreover, both students and parents expressed a positive perception of the use of OVAs, highlighting their motivational nature and age appropriateness. In conclusion, the findings reinforce the importance of OVAs as an innovative pedagogical strategy for promoting healthy lifestyle habits (HLS) in early childhood. The study emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts between schools and families to consolidate these learning outcomes. Finally, recommendations for future research include expanding the sample size and exploring other educational technologies in similar contexts. | eng |
