| dc.description.abstract | El artículo presenta un análisis sobre la figura del maestro, el profesor y el docente, identificando los elementos que, históricamente y en contextos determinados, dieron vida a estos sujetos de la enseñanza. A la par retoma la tradición latinoamericana en la que se reivindica la labor del educador, figura emblemática para procesos de educación alternativa, que en muchos aspectos tensiona y amplia los debates sobre la función del maestro y el docente de hoy. Para ello, el análisis se respalda en la experiencia concreta de la figura del educador en la Universidad Autónoma Intercultural Indígena (UAIIN) que es la universidad del Consejo Regional Indígena del Cauca (CRIC) en Colombia. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This paper presents an analysis about the figures of master, professor and teacher, identifying the elements that historically have given life to those teaching subjects in determined contexts. At the same time, it returns to the Latin American tradition where the educator´s work is claimed as an emblematical figure for alternative education processes that in many aspects strain and enhance the debates about the role of the master and the teacher today. This analysis is supported on the concrete experience of the educator´s figure in the Intercultural Indigenous Autonomous University (UAIIN) that is the university of the Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca (CRIC) in Colombia. | eng |
