dc.descriptionLa enseñanza de las Lenguas Extranjeras (especialmente del inglés) en territorios hispanohablantes suele traer retos significativos implícitos, no solo por la importancia de su dominio, sino porque a lo largo de los años se han desarrollado diferentes propuestas para hacer más fácil y efectiva la adquisición de los saberes indispensables para ello. El presente artículo de reflexión tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis en torno a la historia de la enseñanza de las lenguas extranjeras desde una perspectiva pedagógica, considerando las posibilidades y el rol que juega el maestro en el proceso. Los resultados de la reflexión señalan las variaciones que tuvieron lugar a lo largo del tiempo y la contribución que el maestro realiza desde la observación de las necesidades estudiantiles. Así, el maestro juega un papel determinante en la aplicación efectiva de los métodos empleados, cuya utilidad depende en gran medida del modo en que el docente lo emplee y de las capacidades particulares de cada estudiante.spa
dc.description.abstractThe teaching of Foreign Languages (especially English) in Spanish-speaking territories often brings significant inherent cha-llenges, not only due to the importance of mastering it but also because, over the years, different proposals have been developed to make acquisition of essential knowledge easier and more effective. This reflective article aims to analyze the history of the foreign language teaching from a pedagogical perspective, considering the possibilities and the role the teacher plays in the process. The results of reflection highlight the variations that have occurred over time and the contribution that the teacher makes by observing tudent needs. Thus, the teacher plays a decisive role in the effective application of the methods used, whose usefulness largely depends on how the teacher uses them and the particular abilities of each studentspa
