The requirement to comply with a certain level in the same in each of the years and school levels; the inexistence, many times, of integration, coherence and practical utility in many of them and the current need to change the meaning of the content to make this an effective tool to achieve in students a true geographical education -which allows them to overcome the “Geographic illiteracy” that characterizes most of the Colombian populationare fundamental considerations in its development.
