Ítem Construir el deporte campesino desde la identidad cultural campesina.(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional) Chingate Mora, Laura Patricia; Morales Hermosa, Andrei FernandoHermosaAbstractThis paper aims to contribute to the construction of the “peasant sport” (deporte Campesino) category from different conceptual, historical, legal, and epistemological elements, based on the meanings and experiences of practices, skills, and community games made by farmworkers, taking into account that the Colombian farmworkers have been in a constant struggle and resistance for their recognition as political subjects of rights, among which is their right to sport. The framework is based on “cultural identity” and “public policy” categories of analysis. The methodology was structured based on the authors’ research and practical experience in the departments of Cundinamarca and Cauca and a systematic review of different databases, university repo-sitories, and archives of farmworker organizations from Cauca. The research found a significant relationship between the perseverance and recognition of peasant sports practices and the protection of their cultural identity, besides the influence of these practices in developing a comprehensive public policy for farm workers’ communities.
