Por tradición entendemos un conjunto decantado de herramientas para pensar que han sido probadas, utilizadas una y otra vez, de ciertas maneras; por lo tanto, se han modificado y vigorizado a la vez. No se trata de unos contenidos fijos o de unos principios doctrinales establecidos e inamovibles, sino de instrumentos depurados, perfeccionados, o aun sin terminar, apenas elaborados. Desde luego, una tradición agrupa afirmaciones, explicaciones, formas de comprender, perspectivas, pero al ser transmitida siempre sufre modificaciones, transformaciones. No hay tradición sin transmisión y, por ende, sin transformación. Although all academic activity benefits, in the first place, its author, the disclosure has the particularity of being explicitly directed to others; it is made for the others, depending on the others, the possible readers, a more or less determined public to which one wants to inform or train. In that sense, it constitutes a pedagogical action and not just an academic one."
