Ítem La etnoeducación en Quibdó, Colombia: ¿alternativa o reproducción del racismo?(Editorial Universidad Pedagógica Nacional) Hinestroza Ramírez, Jhonmer; Roca Servat, DenisseIn this article we conducted a critical review of ethnic education in Colombia, taking the case of the city of Quibdó in the department of Chocó, in order to show whether it has actually constituted an alternative for epistemic diversity in the educational system or has been a new form of racism’s reproduction. In methodological terms, at first, we carried out a state of the art on ethnic education in Colombia, focusing on both academic sources and public policy documents. Second, we traced a genealogy of the historical process of implementation of the educational system in Quibdó. Finally, we concluded that, since its implementation, ethnic education in Quibdó has not turned the school into a space of epistemic diversity. Instead, exclusion and stereotypes persist, now in the form of subordination, folklorization and fragmentation of black people’s knowledge.
