    The purpose of this book is to present the stakes and reflections of early education practices throughout the 18-year trajectory of the Escuela Maternal, institution of the Universidad Pedagogica Nacional, to recognize and understand the knowledge and experiences that are built and reconstructed in the pedagogical exercise of teachers and the experience of children and their families in this educational context. For this reason, throughout the book, the authors ask themselves about the meaning of early childhood education and the main actions of children from zero to five years of age, with a view to the manifestation of their languages and their closeness to the educational principles of the school. This work is configured as a starting point to make the trajectory visible and to outline possible paths for early education.
