It is intended to help fill in a gap in reference bibliography to guide research processes in the Spanish-speaking educational community. For this purpose, the book presents two researches: one was conducted by the Aprendizaje y Enseñanza de la Geometría group, and the other one by the Educación Estadística group of Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (Bogotá, Colombia) in 2010 and 2011, with the support of the Research Center, CIUP. Both teams focused their research on the initial training of teachers, with the conviction that, by recognizing that geometry and probability are fragile in school mathematics, it is necessary to influence the mathematical education of future teachers in order to strengthen these domains in the future.
