    This paper gathers the initial conceptual approaches of two complementary research projects. The complexity of the training of educational researchers in Latin America becomes relevant as a challenge not only in the teaching and learning process in the classroom but also in university management. But these challenges take on new meanings when incorporating the necessary gender approach. This paper intends to intertwine the conceptual problem of dealing with the management of research training in a specific university field, Physical Education, from gender approaches.
