    The article presented is part of the final report of the postdoctoral process advanced by the author. This paper corresponded to a qualitative documentary research exercise, aiming to contribute some perspectives that would contribute to the field of leisure, recreation and free time from a perspective that claims the need to expand the predominant views with which it has worked. For this purpose, heterogeneity and multiplicity were proposed as contributions to expand the spectrum of the frameworks of foundation. In the specific case of this text, the ecology of popular and traditional playful practices are presented as a possibility for referents from which to approach the field, starting from the diversity that constitutes us as a nation.
