    This essay aims to offer analogical brushstrokes between the thoughts of the universal master of critical pedagogy, Paulo Freire, and some postulates of the sociologist Boaventura de Sousa Santos. To recall and update the generative and indignant word of the Brazilian is today an unavoidable call, and this, starting from the rereading of some of his premises. This text is based on a conception of knowledge understood as a source of dignity and of eco-analytics as an emancipating method, and also proposes the need to rescue and update his proposal according to which education is the transition from magical consciousness to problematizing consciousness. All this is in order to claim, today more than ever, the conjugation of a post-abysmal thought in search of the unprecedented Freirean viability.
