    This article is the product of a research developed at the CENDA University Corporation (Bogotá, Colombia) during the years 2017 and 2018, titled “Characterization of the Didactics of the Physical Education Class in Cycles 3, 4 and 5 in Educational Institutions of Bogotá”. First, the applied methodology is presented; sub-sequently, the results and their analysis are discussed. In conclusion, the research ́s findings are outlined, including the fact that teachers, in both public and private educational institutions, continue using traditional teaching styles based on the achievement of explicit and hierarchically ordered tasks as well as in conventional sports practices, despite different class guide documents referring to constructivist and alternative methods.
