    The Czech philosopher, Jan Patočka, is known worldwide as a phenomenologist. His last years and his death are those of a philosopher devoted entirely to the defense of human rights and the development of an ethics that can be called "non-political" -or non-partisan politics-. He was also a scholar of John Amos' work about Comenius and founded his philosophy of education.
