In this sense, the seminar "Mimesis: narration, aesthetics and training" fostered the reflection of a group of teachers and students with the aim of characterizing the discursiveness of television programs of global circulation, through the identification of their main rhetorical, enunciative and thematic features, from an interdisciplinary and critical perspective. The intention of the derived dissertations is to problematize the representations and imaginaries that television production disseminates, as well as to notice relevant signs or symptoms of contemporary society portrayed by such productions. The result of this is the present book, consisting of the analysis of the constitutive elements of some television series, among them: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Orange Is the New Black, Sense8, Black Mirror, 24, The Punisher, Ash vs. Evil Dead, South Park, The Amazing World of Gumball and Rick and Morty.
