The participants of this qualitative, action research were the students of grade 5B at Magdalena Ortega de Nariño School. To achieve the objective of describing the impact of the units, data was collected through audio recordings, artifacts and a survey. The analysis of the data through a triangulation and categorization process showed the outcome of implementing TBL on aspects regarding fluency such as technical elements, achieving a communicative goal and students’ confidence.application/pdfenghttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Aprendizaje basado en tareasCompetencia comunicativaFluidezHabilidades oralesDeveloping fifth graders’ oral fluency through task-based learning at Magdalena Ortega de Nariño School.Communicative competenceFluencySpeaking skillsTask - Based learninginfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2instname:Universidad Pedagógica Nacionalreponame: Repositorio Institucional UPNrepourl: http://repositorio.pedagogica.edu.co/Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International
