Thus, this proposal was developed taking into account Colombia’s national government educational policies aimed at enhancing students’ English competences and intercultural awareness. On the other hand, this proposal was based on a well-founded theory in order to design an appropriate audiovisual instrument (the vodcasts), whose implementation with the 10th graders of a public school in Bogotá with a very low English level produced some important preliminary findings. Likewise, it is important to mention that the implementation of this proposal was entirely remote (online) due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which represented a huge challenge.
